Learn to appreciate the rainbow after cursing the rain.
It's just like loving again after experiencing the pain!

Back in LJ! [Sep. 9th, 2009|12:19 pm]
[mood | calm]
[muzique |Time Will Reveal - JayR]

Whoa-whut?! I've been M.I.A. since April first? Tsk, tsk. Sorry LJ for neglecting you. FB came and you know he has taken the world, yes? So I'm hooked with the updates from my friends especially majority of them are not used to blogging.

So what's up with me? I'll tell you what.

I failed an exam and just found it yesterday. It crushed my heart to bits. I want to work with that company. But then again, a No is a No..yes? hahah labo! Woke up today with a heavy head, though I slept early last night. Yes, I am sad til now. What can I do? I expected more from myself but I got a failed result. A friend told me that maybe I am barking at a wrong tree. Yeah, maybe.

Today I am on the lookout for other companies, other industries. Sheeez, I miss working...it has been more than a month since I left my job in search for a better employment that will help me support my family.

Ok, after i finish cleaning my room and arranging (and re-arranging hehe) -- I will watch Naruto. Surprised? Hahaha. Even I am! Me thinks, when was the last time I watched a manga? Sailormoon days? Ghost Fighter? Ranma 1/2?...

I see myself in Naruto -- stubborn, picks up trouble (everytime) and hardheaded....and I want to be like him. Nah, I dont want to be a Hokage. I like how he is determined to get what he wants at whatever cost. He keeps pushing hard to get his goal.

Do you feel the heat? [Apr. 1st, 2009|02:01 am]

Summer na. erm.

Iba ang SUMMER NA. from SUMMER NA! Tama? Elem, uy!
No plans yet. Haha. One by one, my contacts are posting pictures of their summer getaway/s. Wow, lucky you! Pity me! LOL

Ang hirap ng walang moolah. You have no choice but to sulk at one corner while painstakingly trying not to check those pictures which will push you down misery lane. However so, I still try to make so-called "summer plans" for me. Here they go...

- finish driving classes / drive along the highway --> Tagaytay, yo!
- arrange some papers for some trip sometime this year. haha
- buy new books and read 'em...OR read untouched books which are gathering dusts in our house
- continue to jog (kahit na walang evidence of progress)
- watch dvd-recorded movies (no time or money for cinema, boo!)
- wait for more family-planned outings - YEHEY!
- get more sleep, which is not so impossible these days
- make plans

No beach trip in the plan, no? Too sad.

Sheez, Rain! Why? [Mar. 25th, 2009|11:27 am]
Past few days felt it was SUMMER already and that's as if there is no turning back. So what happened today, erm, this evening to be exact? It's raining all over the Metro..and here in Cavite!

*winks at Mimi and ate Tep...and Derick* haha

As the song goes, Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Argh. Emo! Yes, yes. Dramatically inclined during gloomy weather. I must say, this is becoming habitual.

Early this afternoon while I was eliciting insights from the thing that is keeping me busy, I had this thought:

"Most of the teens today aspire for happiness. They always wish for happiness and claim that they are happy."

But from this I would say, they do not know what happiness is for them. Yes, the term is relative, that, I would have to agree. Maybe they are happy. But from their words and the way they would point this out --- they, apparently, are not.
Those who claim happiness think that they are totally into it; that they say it's a matter of choice. But why do they still long for something? Why do they have to feel unsatisfied? Isn't that being unhappy in itself?

Maybe they are happy in a way...but BLANK SPACES are shading this [happiness] with gray. If this is so, I am one of them. Are you one of us? LOL

Oha, emo. told you!

Well, I can't be totally happy naman talaga. Sos. As if I can do that. Not as idealistic as others think of me, no. hahaha

Kasi naman instead of putting this thought into sleep, I can't! Di ba, Em? Hahah :D (special mention!) Let's sleep, Em...and cram for tomorrow! Nyahahah :D

Kidding. B.i. si affle. tsk. tsk.

Para kay Nikoy. [Mar. 24th, 2009|04:50 pm]
Nung naisipan kong gawin 'to, out of nowhere talaga. Ano ba, 4am na no! I was supposed to be studying my interview guide.

Wala man lang, Soksay!

Ay, wait, there's more!

HAHAHA napaka-Old skool ng terms! hahah :D

Correct or Not?

Clue: SPOT THE DIMPLES!

(Uyyy, sino 'to?)

(Wow, rhyme, this must be love! Hahaha)

As in sooooper doooper! :D Tae ka, di ko alam lahat ng hirap na pinagdaanan mo pero sa ilang mga kwentuhan natin, alam ko na you deserve all the good things in life! Magiging successful ka, for sure. Para sa akin at sa amin na nakakakilala sa iyo sa Indayog, you're the best, Nikki / Nikoy! Woohoooooooooo!

Number 1!

O, paano? Celebration na 'to! Boracay? Ano? Kapitbahay mo lang naman yun eh! Inuman naaaaaaa!!!

Poser pic!!!

Wala ng excuse this time! haha :D

Congrats, Dr. Nikki James Francisco!

Batch 5, the best!!!

This is kinda lame, [Mar. 13th, 2009|10:07 pm]
but I'm getting bored. Micro-blogging is helping my random thoughts. Big time.
Adding to my fascination with emoticons.
Finally reached Nirvana. SO what's the next goal?
100 of course! LOL

My relatives from Canada are here. Boo me for I haven't seen them yet. :( I wanna see my Kuya JJ...hehe :D

Anyway, medyo magulo utak ko. hehe

Oh btw, I started to jog last Thursday with Dino and Bubbles. I MIGHT BE doing this every other day. Or pag masipag-sipag --- everyday. Cos im sticking with my goal..and shoving those tactless beings who keep on telling me im fat and looks like i gave birth already. WTF is that?! im referring to my neighbors. hahaha
Uy hurt ako --- pero kebs. LOL

Resident Evil saga rocks! haha :D I wish i had the patience to play the PSP game before. But erm, only my brother can finish those kind of RPGs. Enjoy lang ako watching while he played before...and the movies.

Later.

UPLB Reacts to Maalala Mo Kaya's "BLUSA" Episode [Mar. 6th, 2009|10:46 pm]

From: http://uplb.edu.ph/index.php/news-and-announcements/79-uplb-reacts-to-controversial-maalala-mo-kaya-episode

* * * *

Written by the Office of Public Relations

UPLB has issued an official statement to ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation in light of a recent episode of their Maalala Mo Kaya program which inadvertently cast a bad light on the University and its constituents.

The complete letter is as follows:

Our attention has been called by constituents and alumni to an episode featured in Maala-ala Mo Kaya entitled "Blusa," which was aired on ABS-CBN on Feb. 28 and on TFC recently. Our constituents and alumni were concerned whether the episode was based on truth.

The story was of a woman who allegedly graduated BS AgriBusiness, summa cum laude, from the University of the Philippines Los Baños or UPLB, who could not find a job, and ended up a stripper. We tried to find out who the subject was by tracking all 27 of our summa cum laude graduates from the time the University was established in 1909. We could not find anyone matching the subject as portrayed in "Blusa."

Whether or not the subject was a UPLB graduate, we deeply sympathize with her and her family. However, in the interest of maintaining its reputation as a truthful storyteller, the MMK should have a mechanism to validate claims by letter senders especially those that require a stretch of imagination as to be believed.

While indeed touching and a perfect example of a human-interest story, "Blusa" regrettably affected the reputation of UPLB as an educational institution and its constituents and alumni. We therefore request ABS-CBN to set the record straight and correct the wrong impression that it created among its viewers. We also make an appeal to producers of similar programs to be more prudent in reporting stories with claims that would affect the reputation not only of a school but also of its alumni in the Philippines and abroad.

Thank you.

Bite me! [Mar. 1st, 2009|03:00 am]
So this is the entry that I was meaning to draft since it happened. The thing is, I'm not sure if I can deliver vividly what and how everything took place. Haha. I'll try anyway.

Second (and the last) day of AMD teambuilding, we were down to our last test. It's a make or break. A risk to take. We need to prove that TNS can do it, we can do it as a team. No. 1 daw eh. The test is "Goals testimonial." Simple task to do is everyone of us (75 members) must go in the middle of the room and shout out loud our goals (which were done the night before). So it was something like:

ME: Hi! My Name is Apple!

And the rest of the team would say: "Hi! Apple"

ME: My goals are: one blah, two blah, three blah *BOW*

The rest of the team must clap their hands.
And the next person after you would go in front. So salit-salitan until the last person bows down.

If one or two persons missed out the "HI APPLE!" and clapping thing --- we need to go back to start. So as simple as it may seem -- IT WAS NOT! For crying out loud, there were 75 of us (including preggies and DOH) and we need to finish in 13 minutes! hahah :D I tell you this, it aint easy. SRSLY. Go ask AMD. haha :D

SO going to my kwento (that was just the introduction) --- because of the time limit, we need to SPEED UP, HURRY HURRY and move as FAST as we could. That was the goal to achieve the goal. Erm, O_o yeah.

I was sitting in the middle area with the rest of the guys. There were just, I think, 2 or 3 girls sitting with them --- because that was the area farthest to the center; members should be either a runner, active or a long-legged like me. ;)

Not sure if we were on the 4th try when it happened. We were tired and hyped up at the same time. Lahat nasa takbo mode na cos we want to finish early. Our start went fine, by the time it reached the center -- everyone was eager to rush things to beat the time.

Ruel, a quant colleague, ran towards the center before me. He was sitting on my right, and to my left, was Aimeric (the French bulky guy). After Ruel bowed down, I tried to ready myself for a run and a very quick testimonial. I stood up and Ruel was running back to his seat, me was running quickie as well.

He was running really FAST towards my direction; in my head, I remembered Sheila instructing us to go right so we avoid bumping to each other. Unfortunately, Ruel who was running really really fast went straight then faked his movement to his left, meeting my right-way direction.

We slammed into each other! KABOOM! His big body solidly smashed my body. Ruel's head bumped into my face! I was SMACKED DOWN! (UFC, yo! haha)

I felt my head and the rest of my body flew SLOOOOWLY in the air. And I swear, all those who witnessed THE INCIDENT noticed also how I was in the air when that happened; as if someone turned the remote into a slow-mo mode. SRSLY.

I fell down on the nasty-smelling carpet for less than a minute (I think). My head was spinning (no stars and birds, sorry!) and I cant move, just hearing voices of my officemates and them boys who were jokingly counting down as if we were in a wrestling match. Before the last count, I jerked my leg and stood up. "IM OKAY!," I said. Crazy me was laughing and crying all at the same time. Yeah, crazeeeh, eh?

Someone said to me: "You're face is bleeding!" Oh noooooo! By this time, I remembered that Ruel bit me ACCIDENTALLY! His two front teeth marked down on my left cheek and it bled for a while. Hahaha Funneeeh!

Kawawa naman si Ruel cos everyone was saying that I might go GAGA because of rabies. Up to this day, I can say Im still normal. hahaha Am I?

My face hurt badly come lunch time. I can feel throbbing pain in my cheek and I was feeling wobbly. It became swollen at night. (:

After that happened, i was called by several names:
  • UFC champ c/o PJ
  • Stuntwoman c/o Gabby
  • Rabies by sir Armand
Did anyone got that on tape?
Hahaha (:

Express yourself [Feb. 27th, 2009|09:50 am]
I once received a text message which contained a quote from a famous UP alumnus. Pardon me, but I forgot his name already (will this chop points of his popularity?hehe) and cant remember well what exact words were used...because when I read that, I did not know that I'll get the chance to quote it in the future. But the thought of his statement is something like:

"Aanhin mo pa ang freedom of speech kung idinidikta sa iyo kung ano
ang mga dapat mong sabihin."

Or something like that.

Whoa! [Feb. 26th, 2009|11:32 am]
Long time since I posted anything here. I used to be a regular blogger for Multiply (even posting several entries in a day. ha!) but that changed a bit, eh? However, I am not a dead meat here, still visiting for my daily dose of updates from my friends. Also, news came to me that some ugly person is visiting my site (take note: Not only multiply), extracting juicy details from the past. As if that would help you to destroy me. NEVAH. No one said that I forgot about your issues with me. YOUR issues with me. So that makes a duel between us two and no one else.

Did your old mind get that? HAHA

*  *  *  *

Oh, there are stories and experiences need to be posted. Ever since PLURK got into my system, who cares about a long post anyway? haha kasi naman minsan mga out-of-the blue thoughts lang ang gusto ko i-blog. Real time ang pagka-interactive ng Plurk. Naks.

Go Plurkers! Woot-woot! (:

A few changes with my life plan. (put hard-pitched cussing here)
No, I am not a segment 2 or 3 but when my well-laid out plans are shoved out in a matter of minutes, nagulo ang world order ko! (winks to Jody B.) hehe (:

Oh, when I say "well-laid" I meant MONTHS of thinking, rationalizing and debating with my innerself and considerations based on inquiries from my friends.

Let's see.

*  *  *  *

I think my Tita is here already. But she did not bring her CA fon with her, landline lang ang way to contact her. Maybe, I'll just wait for JJ's arrival in the P.I.

Yey! :D

*  *  *  *

I want new rubbershoes! sneakers! (muhc, i forgot the URLs you shared. damn it)

*  *  *  *

Oh, yeah, remind me next time to tell myself that i need to blog about how a male specie bit me on my face...ACCIDENTALLY! :D

Action-packed yun. cant blog na muna...so shleeepy.

Plans, anyone? [Feb. 7th, 2009|12:27 am]
I want to study. I want to study. I want to enter Master's Degree program this year.

I want! I want! I want you soooooooooooo bad!

I checked UP's admission procedure. Unfortunately, acceptances are entertained between September 1 to  December 5 ONLY for my chosen graduate studies program. My heart felt sad. That would mean waiting another year. But, I guess, it's all about perfect timing. Right?

Now, I'm considering ADMU. They are accepting applications until May 1st week! I see light! YEY! (:

Sheez, the finances! *panics* hahaha :D Where to get the money, eh?

I have to talk to my folks. This is serious...well, at least for me. (:

A Call for Respect: Gary Granda's work [Feb. 5th, 2009|11:14 pm]
I found a post from my ex-colleague, Kay, about her being "PRO Gary Granada." I was of course, wanted to know why. I followed the link in her blog and sure enough, I understood what it was all about.

Please take time to hear it directly from Mr. Gary Granda at the link below:

http://soundcloud.com/dosomethingworthwhile/gary-granada-vs-gma-kapuso or CLICK THIS.

You should decide for yourself whether you are WITH or AGAINST him. I have my own two cents on that subject, but of course, it's all up to me. (:
